Location, Somerset West, Helderberg, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time, Reservationist needed for a River Lodge in Grabouw Area Candidate must be customer focused with a team player mentality. A multi-faceted position that would include both technical and administrative savvy. Experience within the role in Higher end Hospitality environment is a prerequisite. Previous experience in the hotel industry, preferably 4 Star. Excellent customer/client services experience. A stable track record. Able to work shifts (including weekends and public holidays). Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing High levels of motivation and enthusiasm. A good work ethic and attention to detail is paramount.

General scope & key responsibilities of the role: To take reservations, follow up on payments and send confirmations.

Daily duties include but are not limited to: Dealing with all enquiries efficiently and in a professional and timely manner. Corresponding with guests in a professional and timely manner. Providing knowledgeable and accurate information about the property and surrounds. Sending confirmation letters for all bookings on the same day as the booking is confirmed. To identify opportunities to upsell the properties facilities. To be able to communicate with guests on the telephone, email and directly (You need to be well spoken in both English and Afrikaans.) To carry out daily, weekly and monthly checks. To take on additional tasks as given by the senior reservationist.

The right person must an enthusiastic team player, with excellent Communication and Organisational Skills. Someone who strives to exceed the customers' expectations and ensure  that each guests has the best stay possible.
