Junior Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef - HQ Restaurant, 100 Shortmarket Street, Cape Town Location, City Centre, Cape Town, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time. Here at HQ we have been serving our innovative mono-menu in the middle of town for 9 years. Adding on to that we have a fantastic array or Tapa’s and desserts. We are looking to expand our team. We are busy! From regular evenings in the bar and restaurant to events, product launches, First Thursdays and on it goes! Everyday is different, fun and exciting here at HQ.

Core responsibilities are: Ensuring seamless set up and closedown of the kitchens. Motivating, guiding and developing our team of Chef’s. Delivering and exceptional experience to guests. Assist with training of FOH team in terms of food knowledge. A+ Hygiene standards. Stringent stock control. Strict adherence to production and recipes. HR / Rostering / Staffing.

The following requirements need to be met: Vibrant, energetic, go-getter attitude. Commitment to training and learning. 2 years’ experience in a similar environment. Solid food and beverage knowledge. Ability to work flexible long hours over summer. Experience working in a fast passed, flexible and challenging environment. Ability to work shifts and over time. Management experience would be beneficial.
