Duties: General Ledger. Month end general ledger recons performed accurately and timeously. Monthly/Month end entries to be completed timeously. Maintenance of daily job streams and posting to General Ledger. Balancing of Modules to General Ledger. Processing of month end on Syspro. Processing of salary and wage interfaces
Foreign Creditors: Manage foreign creditor payments. Ensure creditors are paid on time. Preparation and submission of documents.
Cash Flow: Management of petty cash.
Specific Duties: Assist in review of key/problematic Creditor Recons when required. Claims account to be followed up on and cleared timeously. GRN trial balance to be reviewed on a monthly basis. Investigation into expense queries. Assistance with budget/forecasts as necessary. Assistance with monthly/quarterly reporting. Preparation and submission of VAT return. Reconciliation of Fixed Assets, recording of disposals and reporting. Manage foreign float and travel reimbursements
Requirements: A relevant Financial tertiary qualification. 2 – 5 years in a assisting accountant/bookkeeper position. Experience in foreign creditors and excellent excel skills is essential
