The successful candidate will report directly to the Divisional Maintenance Manager.The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Minimum Requirements: Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills: Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent. Section 26 Artisan Trade Certificate / MIETTB (Mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board) Trade Certificate through a registered body. Advanced hydraulic certificate. Electronic and Hydraulic component certificates. Team leadership and supervisory skills. Sound listening and communication skills. Able to make decisions within agreed parameters. Sound learning agility and able to adapt to new technologies. Job planning skills. Able to read technical documents and interpret drawings and do fault finding from drawings. Hazard identification skills.
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: At least 5 years experience working with hydraulic and electro-hydraulic equipment and components, of which 3 years in major hydraulic components fault finding, repairs and testing. At least 3 years experience at a Supervisory level in a hydraulic maintenance repair environment. Extensive knowledge of hydraulics and electro-hydraulics equipment and components. Knowledge to select, set up and operate electronic instrumentation and related electro-hydraulic/mechanical apparatus used for Raise Boring. Knowledge to select, install, calibrate and check sensing, telemetering and recording instrumentation and circuitry.
Job Specification: The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to: Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs. Effective self and team supervision in alignment with M&RC values and leadership initiatives. Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth and timeous workflows. Effective and efficient repair and maintenance of the Raise Drilling machines to schedule. Compliance with SHEQ and M&RC's standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols.
