Based in Pietermaritzburg we are currently looking for a Shipping Assistant to join our growing team. The primary function of the Shipping Assistant is to manage the storage of our inventory products, along with shipping and receiving

Job Description: Zasttra.com is currently recruiting experienced Shipping Assistant. Openings include temp-to-hire and direct hire.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Read and understand the paperwork involved with each job. Use computer system for necessary input/output information. Process incoming freight. Update inventory records. Prepare packages and paperwork for ship-outs. Ship products and materials. Schedule pickups. Process re-orders. Verify shipments (count, weigh, and check). Select items and determine method of shipment when not specified. Supervisor informed of progress on regular basis. Work area is clean and orderly. Equipment is operated safely. Process orders and enter information regarding all receiving and material movements. Routinely answer inquiries from customers regarding shipment status. Maintain current filing systems. Use computer to process, file and organise vendor paperwork and billing information. Compile, maintain and run work reports using Microsoft Office. Must have strong customer service and communication skills

Requirements: High School Diploma/Matric preferred. Proficient in Excel & Outlook. Standing for extended periods of time. High attention to Detail. Team orientated, Salary: R3500 per month, Work times: 8 am - 5 pm (Monday to Friday).
