Our client in the Parow Industrial area is seeking a Cartage Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate must possess and have a complete oversight of day to day management of all line haul operations.

Key objectives: Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers. Negotiate truckload transportation rates and monitor costs. Provide strategy and leadership on truckload initiatives. Enter, verify, and maintain all carrier information in transportation management spreadsheet Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures for product transit and delivery. Analyse data to monitor performance and plan improvements in delivery performance. Analyse logistics trends and identify solutions. Monitor line haul Departure /arrival times to ensure timely deliveries. Daily reporting to operations staff on In-house site objectives.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, 2 – 5 years of logistics experience – preferably in truckload management. Strong communicator, Skilled negotiator, Effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks all with an attention to fine detail. Experience working with transportation management – KPI’s, Proficient in Excel, Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems, Able to work effectively with people in a cross-functional environment, Able to lead discussions and communicate effectively, Remuneration - R40 000 - R50 000 per month
