Linux Network Administrator, Location, Northcliff, Johannesburg, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time

The position is for both server as well as desktop administration providing support to our software development team and end users. This position requires a person that can be available at all times of the day and week for emergencies. The right candidate must be a very good team player to join our current sys admin as well as be able to work independently and under pressure.

Must have minimum 3 years' experience, Can work various shifts and hours including alternate weekends, Must have own reliable transport, Linux (Ubuntu) Desktop and Server Administration, Solid experience with LAMP, Must be comfortable at the command line, SNMP based network monitoring systems, Practical knowledge of routing and BGP, Excellent Bash (Unix shell) ability, MySQL / MSSQL DB Admin, VoIP Astrix/Elastix, Network and Servers Security, Spam solutions, XEN / Squid / Dovecot / Roundcube, Perl / Php / Python, Apache, DHCP, DNS Servers, TCP/IP Knowledge, SSH, SSL, Ansible, Google Apps for Business Administration

Skills test on Linux will be performed in the interview therefore please make sure you comply with the criteria and you have extensive Linux experience otherwise you are wasting your time.
