Job Details: Fast food employees are responsible for serving customers in dining establishments that serve fast food or offer take-out. Fast food establishments usually offer limited menus and foods  are usually served in disposable packaging via drive-through or walk-in settings; as well as home delivery options. Fast food employees may work irregular hours, such as evenings, weekends or holidays. Typically, fast food employees are trained on-the-job by experienced employees or managers.

Maintain high standards of customer service during high-volume, fast-paced operations, Communicate clearly and positively with co-employees and management, Master point-of-sale (POS) computer system, Handle cash and credit card transactions quickly and accurately, Follow procedures for safe food preparation, assembly, and presentation, Assist management with inventory control, and stock ordering, Build loyal clientele through friendly interaction and consistent appreciation

Requirements: Total commitment to operating in a safe and hygienic manner is absolutely VITAL. Knowledge of governmental health regulations and food safety is required. Food handling and sanitation knowledge is also vital. Fast food employees should also possess the ability to review and understand procedures, and general math skills are also necessary. Fast food employees must be able to stand in a confined area for most of their work schedule. They must be able to stay alert and be able to exercise quick thinking. The ability to handle pressure and maintain an adequate energy level is skills that will make the fast food employee’s job much easier.
