Job Title: General Ledger Staff Accountant With German

Our client is a large US multinational organisation who now have an exciting opportunity as a General Ledger Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities:

    Preparing company ledgers, financial statements and month end duties in both the US and local GAAP.
    Handling of fixed asset accounting under US and local GAAP conditions.
    Managing issues of concern and appropriate advancement of action plans where required.
    Adherence to accounting principles and processes explicitly for US GAAP.
    Aptitude to assess policies and procedures from a US and local GAAP perspective.
    Strong enthusiasm for applying accounting knowledge to difficult problems, facilitates as an advisor within the general accounting profession.
    Exposure to internal/external audit operations.

Qualifications/Work Experience:

    Bachelor Honours degree in Accounting required
    1-3 years of experience in industry or practice accounting required.
    Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
    ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ACA qualified or part qualified studying towards a professional Accountancy qualification.
    Experience working with International GAAPs and an Accounting shared service environment would be ideal.
    Successful candidate must have fluency in German for this role.
