Founded in 1972, Doxa Youth Foundation is a non-denominational, not for profit organisation which has provided support to Victorian children and young people who have experienced disadvantage in their lives. Doxa provides education-related programs that help children and young people achieve their potential. Our programs support young people to develop critical life skills and the determination to achieve their goals and make the most of their abilities, despite their life circumstances.

We are seeking an experienced Quality and Compliance Manager to work from our Spencer Street office, a 10 minute walk from Southern Cross Station.  This is a permanent full time role which requires a willingness to be flexible with respect to both hours and location of work where required given the broad scope of this critical role.

Reporting through to the General Manger Operations, you will lead set functions and projects which impact across the six Operations Division service delivery work streams. You will work closely with the GM Operations in contributing to a diverse set of Strategic Initiatives, Business as Usual Projects plus the implementation of initiatives to drive further improvements to quality, compliance, safety, KPI achievement and critically to the experiences of the 6,500 young people who will participate in a FY16 Doxa program.

The Quality and Compliance Manager is a key member of Operations Leadership Team (OLT) and leads planning, continuous improvement, accreditation or volunteer recruitment exercises at appropriate points in the year. During peak service delivery periods, the Operations Support Manager may backfill Program Manager roles for brief periods to create additional leadership capacity. This broad brief requires an ability to work on detailed analysis one day and to engage young people the next.

It is imperative that you have an outstanding level of personal organisation, enjoy implementing structure and work collaboratively in a fast paced but rewarding environment. You will need to develop strong supportive relationships within and outside Doxa but retain an ability to be objectively critical in order to deliver value. You have a naturally flexible, supportive nature and an open, honest and pleasant communication style. The successful applicant will need to create the momentum for the further development of our programs, policies, procedures and systems to the benefit of Doxa’s program participants, Doxa’s stakeholders and Doxa itself.

To succeed in this role you will possess: A demonstrated capacity to lead projects, make critical decisions and achieve deadlines, A natural ability to quickly form relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including young people who can at times exhibit challenging behaviours, A tertiary qualification relevant to the requirements of this role, Experience in influencing leaders to improve quality and compliance outcomes, Excellent engagement, written and verbal communication skills
