Hotel Sales Executive, Vacancy Description: Selling the Hospitality Group, hotels and products, to various market segments focussing primarily on Hotel assigned to you. This is to be done using agreed channels and assigned clients. Salary: R22 000 + Car Allowance + benefits + lucrative commission structure (Medical, Provident & Annual Bonus)
Skills Required: Develop and maintain a DATABASE of commercial, retail, travel and organizational contracts so as to ensure maximum sales.Undertake to predetermined levels, direct TELESALES and SALES CALLS (face to face) to potential and established clients in the area allocated to the satisfaction of the RSM. (Allocation of clients / areas will change from time to time as per Company’s requirements).
Achieve the SALES TARGET as set by the National Sales Manager (NSM), Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and General Manager (GM).
Devise and produce a working SALES BUSINESS PLAN, which adequately provides territorial management, adequate sales coverage and specialized commercial activities
Produce and submit required daily, weekly, monthly REPORTS.
ATTEND TRAVEL FUNCTIONS, e.g. fairs, trade shows, exhibitions and events in a participative or observer status. Attend all Regional Sales Meetings, sales conferences, and any other meeting which will provide input as requested by the RSM.
Participate in EDUCATIONALS to hotels for commercial or travel trade contracts as required.
Maintain WEEKLY CONTACT with GM, Reservations Manager and Banqueting Manager in order to develop working relationship and to have a constant awareness of trends within the hotel.
Transmit all LEADS for business outside of your allocated area to the RSM in that area without delay.
Advise other regions via your RSM if any RELEVANT INFORMATION pertaining to the hotel.
Ensure good PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE of all properties in the group.
Ensure that SFA Activities are at all times 100% up to date and correct
Support and assist RSM and adhere to all reasonable instructions
Candidate Description: Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent required
At least 1 year’s sales experience
Valid driver's license for at least 3 - 4 years
Ability, desire and passion to sell
Excellent communication skills
High degree of self-motivation and ambition
Skills to work both independently and as part of a TEAM
Time management and prioritization: Good time management, planning and follow-up skills, as well as the ability to meet deadlines
Strong technical skills: Must be comfortable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Excellent customer service skills
Able to work flexible work hours including weekends
Proven track record in acquisition of new business
