Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Lineman Trade Certification, Lineman Red Seal Certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Languages: Speak English, Write English
Major Work Area: Construction, Maintenance
Type of Establishment Experience: Electric power company, Public utility commission
Type of Equipment: Power line and cables, Insulators, Conductors, Lightning arrestors, Switches, Transformers, Poles, towers and guy wires, Hydraulic buckets
Specific Skills: Install, repair and maintain electrical distribution and transmission systems, Erect and maintain poles, towers and guy wires, Splice, solder and insulate conductors and wiring, Inspect and test power lines and cables, Adhere to safety practices and procedures
Additional Skills: Work at heights, Instruct apprentices
