Purchasing assistant – Dublin - €22K
My client is a very successful company specializing within a niche area, fine foods. They provide high quality and luxury products to high standard establishments, such as 5 star hotels and renowned restaurants. They are looking for a purchasing assistant to join their busy team.
For this role you will need to have excellent communication and administration skills. The position has 3 main dimensions: ordering, commercial negotiation & supplier relations and stock management. The role is a key position in the company. You will be reporting to the Purchasing manager and will gain excellent skills within client handling and administration
The main responsibilities are:
- Processing daily and weekly purchase orders
- Optimising order frequency in order to insure sufficient stock
- Negotiating best prices and credit terms
- Build long term relationships with suppliers
Requirements:
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience or interest for the fine food industry
- Positive attitude
- Being proactive
