Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification, Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification, Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement, Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, WHMIS Certificate
Experience: 5 years or more

Area of Specialization: Engine repair, Brake systems, Hydraulic systems, Fuel and emission systems, Ignition and electrical systems, Standard transmission, Engine repair and overhaul, Auto body repair, Frame straightening, Plastics repair, Welding, Truck-trailer repair
Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills: Inspect and test mechanical units, Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units, Test and adjust units to specifications
Truck Mechanic Specific Skills: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service
Additional Skills: Complete reports to record problems and work performed
