General Manager, Our client provides high quality face bricks to the residential and commercial construction industries and is seeking a experience General manager, in this role he will be responsible for the management and logistics at the Palapye factory, he will need to maintain a safe, efficient and profitable operation through daily management of a production team, maintenance staff and yard operations, reporting to the Commercial Director , you still need to be able to act autonomously to ensure that the face bricks are produced to meet quality expectations. The effective use of lean principles will be assumed.

General Manager to be a responsible, organized and experienced individual to join our team.

Duties and responsibilities required.

    Achieve required plant performance

    Production of quality products in accordions' with SABS or BOBS

    Compliance with Health and Safety act

    Implement production targets

    Management and development of plant management to supervisors,

    Actively participate and promote harmonious Industrial Relations.

Required Skills and Experience

    Management Experience in the manufacturing of Clay face bricks

    Demonstrated focus on performance to budget and continuous improvements

    Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence people.

    Tertiary qualification in Management or ceramics or other related discipline

    Commitment to safety and Health

    Strong people and communication skills

    Strong Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing production targets

    Demonstrate ability to keep up to date with the market demands on new competitive products

    Personal drive and results-orientation

    Experience on Tunnel kiln operations.

    Experience with Coal firing.

Salary package Negotiable depending on experience
