Cook (Curry and Tandoori)

Salary: $11.50 Hourly for 44 hours per week, Other Benefits

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Cook Trade Certification
Experience: 5 years or more
Languages: Speak English

Specific Skills: Prepare and cook full course meals, Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods, Plan menus, Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions, Work with minimal supervision, Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, Estimate food requirements and costs, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Order supplies and equipment, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas, Wash dishes
Work Location Information: Room and board provided, Urban area, Relocation costs covered by employer
Essential Skills: Working with others, Job task planning and organizing
Other Information:Experience in curry/Tandoori cuisine is essential. Knowledge of Hindi or panjabi is an asset. Working hrs. 50 to 55 hrs P/W. Over time after 44 hrs $ 17.25. p/h. 4 % vacation Pay will be added extra.
