Information Systems Technologist
Our Vancouver Region offices have an opening for an Information Systems Technologist to work on a variety of exciting projects as well as day to day tasks in the IS department. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start an engaging career with a successful company.
JOB DUTIES
• Provide courteous service to end users by performing trouble shooting and helpdesk support on laptop and desktop computers
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and coworkers by responding to requests and communicating responses in a timely and effective manner
• Hardware & Software deployment
• Network technician duties including adding and removing users and conducting routine network maintenance
• Other special projects as they arise
REQUIREMENTS
• Degree or diploma in information systems, computer science or related field
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy working with people.
• 1-2 years of prior experience in a IT help desk role would be an asset
• Experience with networking and workstation management would be an asset
• Experience with or training in the following programs an asset: Microsoft Office365, Microsoft Lync, Microsoft Systems Centre
• Valid BC driver’s license
This position can be based out of our Vancouver or Surrey office, but travel within BC and Alberta may be required on a semi-regular basis. The incumbent will be expected to work out of either Vancouver Region offices on an as-needed basis.
On the job training and orientation to McElhanney’s IS environment will be provided. You will work closely with the IS manager and other IS staff. Your level of responsibility will grow as your ability increases.
