Who are We are a small neuro-affirming practice providing mobile services to neurodivergent pre-teens, teens, and young adults. Our focus is on supporting young people to achieve their goals of independence and enabling them to participate in all areas of life. We work on a range of skills, including building and maintaining relationships, regulating emotions, budgeting, executive functioning skills such as managing routines, meal prep, navigating public transport, managing the demands of school, obtaining a learner's license, and much more.
The role: We are looking for an experienced occupational therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a mobile position that will involve conducting occupational therapy assessments and sessions in the client's home, school, and/or community, as well as some telehealth.
You will be working with a caseload of neurodivergent young people, which will include autistic young people as well as young people with ADHD, intellectual disabilities, anxiety disorders, DCD, OCD, and sensory processing disorders.

Tasks and responsibilities: conducting formal and informal assessments and collaborative goal setting. Providing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions. Consulting and working collaboratively with other health professionals. Completing note-taking and NDIS reports when required. Engaging in professional development for continued learning.
Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy. Current AHPRA registration. National Police Check and WWCC or willingness to obtain. Excellent communication skills and time management skills. A driver’s license and reliable vehicle. 6 months minimum experience working with neurodivergent young people (highly regarded).
