About the Role: This is a Fixed Term Position for 12mths. The Communications and Change Manager is responsible for establishing strong change management practices within the Records Management Systems Uplift Project, including, collaborating closely with the project team to identify and mitigate the impacts of changes to process, systems and culture. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in change management to ensure the communication and change practices are integrated into the project work program and successful adaption to the changes
Position Outcomes / Accountabilities: Develop and manage the Change Management and Communication Strategy for the Records Management System Uplift Project. Work collaboratively across the Department to ensure the delivery of the strategy. Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to identify and assess impacts, issues and risks and provide actionable deliverables for mitigation.
Provide and ensure appropriate stakeholders are engaged throughout the implementation process
Lead change management and communication activities for the project, including delivery of content via various methods (e.g. presentation, storytelling, webinars).
Lead the change management and communication efforts by leveraging a solid technical understanding to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible messaging to stakeholders: to deliver of training programs and organisational wide communications and to ensure smooth adoption and engagement with new systems or processes.
Proactively contribute to a positive, friendly, forward thinking and responsive divisional culture through developing, maintaining and influencing effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Practice cultural safety by creating environments, relationships, and systems free from racism and discrimination, fostering a space where people feel safe, valued, and able to participate.

Key Selection Criteria: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications and Change Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead and support the implementation of change initiatives, guiding stakeholders through change with clear direction relating to our Records Management Systems Uplift Project.
Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, and you will proactively add value, ensuring the project goals are communicated, and monitor satisfaction to ensure strong, collaborative relationships. Your ability to address stakeholder concerns and drive positive outcomes will be vital in this position.
Exceptional communication skills are crucial, as you will provide high-level advice on messaging, audience engagement, and decision-making support. You will tailor your message to the audience, ensuring clarity and impact in all interactions across all levels of the organisation.
You will excel in project delivery, turning strategies into structured programs with clear governance and risk management. You will use influence and persuasion to secure buy-in for initiatives, leveraging strategic relationships and expert insights to drive organisational priorities.
Qualifications and Experience: Mandatory. Extensive experience in change management and communications roles or experience in a similar role.
Desirable: Qualification in Communication, Change Management, Project Management or related field. Extensive experience with information and records management systems and tools, including SharePoint and M365, in a large government or corporate organisation. Experience in records management implementation projects.
