About the Role: 2 x Fixed Term Positions for 12mths. The Senior People and Culture Advisor position sits within People and Culture and will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to the business in the provision of human resource advice. The role will proactively engage with clients and stakeholders and provide contemporary advice and support on People and Culture activities.
Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
Human Resources Advisory Experience: Utilised a discerning approach to offer well-informed and tailored advice to the organisation on various HR matters. Demonstrated sound judgment in coaching business leaders and employees through fostering resolutions to issues, and enhancing HR capabilities across the department.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Successfully implemented key People and Culture initiatives, showcasing adaptability by tailoring strategies to meet the distinctive needs of different business units. Applied innovative thinking and critical analysis to guide and support business decisions, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Consistently identifying and sharing feedback to improve operational efficiencies.
Stakeholder Management: Developed and maintained effective relationships with stakeholders across all organisational levels. Skilfully influenced and negotiated with people leaders to align business objectives with relevant frameworks and legislation, contributing to the achievement of key people-related outcomes.
Case Management Expertise: Provided high-level expertise in employee case management, demonstrating proficiency in resolving complex employee relations matters. Exercised sound judgment in assembling subject matter experts when necessary, resulting in effective and comprehensive resolutions.
Safety, Inclusivity, and Team Operations: Actively promoted and supported a safe, inclusive, and flexible team environment. Demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of diversity and flexibility, contributing to the overall success and well-being of the team.
Change Management: Supported change management initiatives within the VPS governance structure, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of organisational dynamics. Key Selection Criteria: Our HR Assist team is seeking a Senior People and Culture Advisor to provide expert HR guidance and drive continuous improvement across the organisation. The successful candidate will offer tailored advice on HR matters, exercising sound judgment in coaching business leaders and employees to enhance workplace capabilities. This role requires demonstrated experience in implementing key People and Culture initiatives, applying critical analysis to support business decisions, and fostering a culture of innovation and operational efficiency. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, with the ability to influence and negotiate with people leaders to align business objectives with legislative frameworks.
Expertise in employee case management is critical, including the ability to resolve complex employee relations matters and collaborate with subject matter experts when needed. Qualifications and Experience: Mandatory. Significant experience in a human resources advisory role.
Desirable: Bachelor of Business (Human Resources) or an equivalent tertiary qualification. Experience in large and complex organisations.
