We are seeking a maintenance electrical/mechanical engineer to join our client's team in West Cork. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with automated and semi-automated production lines while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

THE ROLE: Perform planned and reactive preventative maintenance on production equipment. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults to minimize downtime. Work collaboratively within a small, dynamic engineering team to drive process improvements. Respond efficiently to breakdowns within a defined timeframe. Manage spare parts procurement and liaise with external contractors. Support project management activities as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: 4+ years’ experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance with strong fault-finding skills. Knowledge of pneumatic control systems is an advantage. Ability to work both independently and within a team. Understanding of industrial control instrumentation. Experience with PLC-based automation is a distinct advantage.
