Apprentice Motor Vehicle Mechanic (3rd-4th apprentice)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day
Salary: $20.00 to $28.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Ottawa Centre, Ontario (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice
Experience: Experience an asset

Area of Specialization: Front-end components, Electrical and electronic systems, Brake systems, Ignition and electrical systems, AC, cooling and heating systems, Drive train components
Automotive Service Technician Specific Skills: Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, Perform scheduled maintenance service
Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills: Inspect and test mechanical units, Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units
Additional Skills: Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Working with others, Finding information, Computer use
