Wellington Road Dental Care (WRDC) is seeking a part-time dental assistant to join our well-established and privately owned dental clinic in Morley. Our clinic provides a wide range of dental services, from preventive dentistry to advanced implant placement, facial aesthetics, and everything in between. WRDC has built an excellent reputation within Perth and surrounds for providing high-quality dental care over the last 20 years. Our patients are lovely, of all ages and backgrounds, including young families, professionals, and retirees. We are currently on the search for a part-time dental assistant to join our family-friendly clinic. The position on offer may be the right fit for you if you are passionate about dentistry and eager to learn within an easy-going but professional work environment.

About the role: New part-time position 3 days a week. Preferred days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. One to two Saturday mornings a month may also be required. The position is long-term, with scope to expand the hours of work commencing July/August 2025. You will be joining our friendly team of 4 dentists, a hygienist, and 6 dental assistants under one central clinic. Full training will be provided for the right candidate with an immediate start.

The ideal applicant should have the following skills and qualifications: Qualified with Certificate III (or IV) or currently studying dental assistance. A friendly, naturally compassionate, and energetic personality. A strong work ethic and a  “can do” attitude. A great team player who can work within established policies, guidelines, and procedures. Minimum year 12 secondary education with good written and verbal English communication skills. Good organizational, phone, and computer skills.

Good personal presentation. A good sense of humor.

Daily duties will include greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Chairside assisting. Helping to maintain clean and hygienic surgery with high infection control standards. Sterilizing instruments and maintaining clinical equipment. Assist with answering phone calls and basic reception duties, as needed. Support the rest of the team when required.

The position is ideally suited to: a mature-minded and qualified dental assistant. A Dental Assistant student who has commenced Cert III studies AND is looking for a paid trainee position. Someone intending to commence Cert III Dental Assisting studies in the near future.
