We have an exciting opportunity for a legal secretary or paralegal to join our rapidly growing, specialist family law firm based in our Wollongong office. Family law can be a difficult area of law at times—we don’t have time or space for office politics!
What we don’t care about: Your qualifications. Your age. Your familiarity with specific software. We will provide training on our practice management software if required.
The roles and responsibilities include answering telephones and being the first point of contact for new inquiries, greeting clients, performing administrative tasks, and general office duties, including maintaining a clean and organized office space. Working closely with the operations manager to ensure an exceptional client experience. Preparing and assisting with legal documents and correspondence
Liaising with clients, lawyers, and others in person, by telephone, and by email. Case management, including working closely with our principal solicitor. Day-to-day file management, including management of opening and closing of files and organizing and maintaining electronic files. Email and diary management, scheduling of meetings, managing court appearances, and deadlines for our legal team. Preparing Briefs for Counsel. Filing court documents. Billing and accounts.
There is also the ability to be involved in other aspects of the business that suit your interests, such as social media, marketing, and business development activities. This is not suited to a graduate solicitor. This is a full-time position, but part-time will be considered for the right candidate.
