Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA). New Light Physiotherapy Clinic. Location: 8434 120 Street, Surrey, BC. Salary: 35.00 hourly / 40 hours per week. Full time. Starts as soon as possible. Languages English. Education College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Experience 1 year to less than 2 years. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities: administer evaluative tests. Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check, and calibrate auditory equipment. Assess patients' physical abilities. Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Develop information materials for patients. Examine the patient. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help orthopedic surgeons. Help physical therapists. Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products. Maintain prescription records. Operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments. Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Record test results and medications given by ophthalmologists. Set up and dismantle equipment. Supervise technical and support staff. Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Clean and maintain equipment. Lay out surgical instruments. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Reassemble equipment and assemble packs of sterile supplies and instruments for delivery to hospital departments. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for reuse according to standardized safety practices. Plan physiotherapy programs. Select appropriate exercises, apparatus, and manipulations. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Confer with other health professionals. Assist the chiropractor with physical examinations. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Schedule and confirm appointments. Order supplies and equipment. Experience and specialization. Area of specialization. Physiotherapy.
