Responsibilities: Book appointments. Cut and trim hair according to the client's instructions or preferences. Shampoo customers' hair. Supervise other hair stylists and other staff. Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair. Apply hair extensions. Clean and style wigs and hair pieces. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair. Suggest a hairstyle compatible with the client's physical features and preferences. Perform receptionist duties. Maintain and order supplies. Experience and specialization. Hair styling techniques. Blow drying. Hair braiding. Iron waving/curling. Permanents. Extensions. Twisting. Locking. Relaxing. Spiking. Pin curls. Roller setting. Hair coloring techniques. Bleach. Dyes/tints. Frosting.
