Finance Controller (Trust Accounting): Property Management and Sales. Mclaws Property. Hurstville, Sydney NSW. Residential Leasing and Property Management (Real Estate and Property). Full time. $60,000–$90,000 per year.

About You: Background in property management, real estate, or trust accounting is preferred. Experience with property management platforms (e.g., Property Tree, PropertyMe) is highly regarded. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB). Strong time management, reliability, and ability to work under pressure. Keen attention to detail and commitment to compliance.

Main responsibilities: handle daily banking tasks and reconciliations. Keep accurate records of trust account transactions. Process mid-month and end-of-month payments to property owners, creditors, and suppliers. Respond to tenant and landlord inquiries about financial statements, invoices, and accounts. Coordinate with relevant providers to manage invoice redirection for council, strata, water rates, and insurance. Enter invoices into property management software for timely payment

Conduct regular data audits and maintain organized filing and archiving systems. Process bond refunds or deductions after tenants move out. Calculate and charge tenants for water usage during and at the end of their tenancy.

Order keys from strata managers and handle payment arrangements. Coordinate the renewal of landlord insurance policies. Follow up on overdue rent, water usage, and invoices before escalating to property managers. Manage annual trust account audits and address auditor inquiries. Communicate and assist with tribunal cases, money orders, and debt recovery agencies as needed.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday (5 days per week). Option to work from home (hybrid flexibility). Ready to take the next step?
