Drywall Installer and Finisher. BDS Drywall Ltd. Location: 976 E 52 Avenue, Vancouver, BC. Salary: $29.00 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week. Full-time. Day, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning. Starts as soon as possible. Languages: English. Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Work must be completed at the physical location. Responsibilities: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints. Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and a broad knife. Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
