The Position: The position will develop, coordinate, and monitor the ongoing management of Albury City's Natural Areas, including fuel and fire load management, pest plant and animal management, and revegetation works, and oversee the Wagirra Aboriginal works program. The position will also be responsible for project managing the delivery of small to medium natural areas projects
Working 38 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO. Flexible working arrangement. Come and work for an engaging and dynamic team.

Qualifications and experience: Tertiary or TAFE qualification in environmental management or conservation and land management or related discipline and/or relevant work experience. Class C (standard) drivers' license (compulsory to have and maintain). Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team. Relevant natural resource management industry experience. Engaging with Aboriginal stakeholders.
Tasks and responsibilities: Lead and manage the team, including performance management and reviews, training and development, workflow coordination, rostering and timesheets, workforce planning, and developing and maintaining a high level of morale and harmony.
Coordinate all resources, including staff and tasks, to complete assigned works. Coordinate the maintenance, management, and rehabilitation of natural areas, including fire and fuel load management, revegetation, and rehabilitation programs. Oversee AlburyCity's compliance with the Biosecurity Act, 2015, and Biosecurity Regulation, 2017, by ensuring pest plant and animal obligations are met. Oversee the Wagirra Aboriginal Works crew and associated construction and maintenance activities, including consultation and engagement with the Aboriginal community.
Hours: Based on a 38-hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
