Greenhill Nursery here in Leslie Vale, Tasmania is seeking a Qualified Nursery Hand to join our sales team. In this role you will be responsible for assisting customers, as well as the day-to-day operations of a nursery, plant care, potting, weeding, watering and other general nursery tasks. There is also the possibility of the role being made into a part or full time position.

What you'll be doing: Proactively contact customers to identify sales opportunities. Follow up on customer enquiries and quotes in a timely and proactive manner. Promote and demonstrate Greenhill's commitment to customer satisfaction. Assisting with the general care and maintenance of plants/trees in our nursery. Monitoring plant health and diagnosing plant diseases or pests, implementing effective solutions. Carrying out potting, pruning, watering, weeding and other horticultural tasks. Helping with the preparation and presentation of plants for sale in our retails areas. For the right candidate this position may include leadership within the crew.

What we're looking for Qualified in Horticulture with a certificate III or IV or have had good experience within the nursery industry. Proven experience in the Nursery or Horticultural industry, the ideal candidate will have native and ornamental plant knowledge with a focus on advanced trees being a benefit in this position. A keen interest in plants and a passion for exceptional customer service is required. A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation is necessary. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Good time management and organisational skills. Physically fit and happy to work in all weather conditions.
