Leading Hand, Forklift Driver. RMD Australia. Lidcombe, Sydney NSW. Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics). Full time. $70,000 – $80,000 per year. Leading Hand / Forklift Driver. RMD Australia is part of the Altrad group and one of the world’s leading temporary works suppliers, providing tailored formwork, shoring and scaffolding solutions. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to oversee the day to day running of our Yard in Sydney [Lidcombe].
The Role: This is a key role that will allow the successful candidate to make a positive impact on the operations of the Yard. Reporting to and supported by the Sydney Operations Manager and Regional Manager NSW/ACT, you will assist in the management of the day-to-day Yard processes in delivering unrivalled customer satisfaction.
In this varied and interesting role, your key responsibilities will include: Lead, manage and coordinate a yard team, Maximize the efficiency of the yard team, Actively contribute to the team's daily activity, including loading/unloading of equipment, packing, picking of equipment, administrative tasks including data entry such as delivery and returns and end of month processing and comply with the safety management system and quality assurance procedures, Live and embrace the Altrad Life Saving Actions and Instinctive Behaviours through Safety interactions and proactive hazard reporting,
Facilitate continuous improvement and provide guidance and expertise to your team when required
About You: Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role in a similar industry, such as a supervisor or Leading Hand. Hold a valid High-Risk Workers Licence. Strong customer focus with good communication, listening and negotiating skills. An understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice and safety management system requirements. A strong work ethic and positive attitude, attention to detail, highly motivated, and able to demonstrate an excellent attitude towards work health and safety and quality requirements.
