Marketing and Communications Director
Electrobac is a young Montreal startup that wants to change the world… one electronic at a time! Electrobac installs “smart” bins to collect electronic waste in buildings that citizens frequent on a regular basis; places like universities, office buildings, shopping centres, grocery stores and more. Electrobac seeks to challenge the status quo and change the behaviour of individuals who throw away their electronic waste. From a single bin installed on the HEC Montréal campus, Electrobac’s network now includes more than 100 bins installed in the greater Montreal area. Currently experiencing substantial growth, our young team is looking for a creative and dynamic person to contribute to the company’s expansion plans and to encourage consumers to dispose of their electronic devices in our network of bins.
Interested? If so, your main responsibilities will be to:
• Develop a strategic marketing and communications plan;
• Ensure the expansion of Electrobac’s network of bins in Quebec
• Grow Electrobac’s communication platforms such as social media, website, blogs, traditional media, non-conventional platforms as well as monitor their content and performance;
• Organize promotional events, stunts and campaigns;
• Research and develop marketing tools that are out-of-the-ordinary and that will help grow our brand while mobilizing consumers to use our network of bins at their disposal;
• Manage relationships with Electrobac’s clients and various partners : the host establishments, the users of our bins and other partners;
• Work with our host establishments to develop and implement communication tools that will promote our bin to current and potential users;
• Stay abreast and take advantage of new business opportunities;
• Run the marketing department : manage a marketing budget, set objectives for the department, monitor performance indicators and coordinate human resources.
What you need to join the team (mandatory):
• Have a minimum of 1 to 2 years marketing experience in a decision-making role;
• Bilingual, possessing both oral and written skills;
• Problem-solver with strong analytic skills;
• Be available to travel;
• Be resourceful, creative and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in the startup sector (an asset)
• And most importantly, refuse the status quo
