Newmont Australian Operations are located in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and New South Wales with roles in operations, projects, and exploration. Regional support is provided from our offices in Subiaco, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
Opportunity: We have a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity to join our team as the front interfacing representative of our Newmont regional office based in Subiaco. This position interacts with all visitors, staff and contractors and Responsibilities: are broad with wide variety. Duties include but are not limited to: Front Desk Operations. Answer and direct calls, greet visitors, and manage entry authorisation. Oversee reception coverage and provide induction support for new employees and visitors. Manage temporary network access, workstation allocations, and security swipe cards. Maintain databases, filing systems, and phone lists.
Mail, Courier, and Supplies Management: Manage mail and courier services, including monthly reporting and cost reconciliation. Oversee the procurement of kitchen supplies, stationery, and general consumables. Oversee front desk technology, equipment purchases, and furniture replacement. Provide a monthly journal report to the Accounts Department for all courier costs and services. Manage purchase orders, petty cash, and office equipment.
Facilities Services: Coordinate tenancy maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning, and cleaning. Manage periodic large cleaning jobs (e.g., carpets, windows, and blinds) and plant/flower services. Organize office alterations, refurbishments, and “clean-up” activities.
Draft and circulate facility-related updates and manage communication for office protocols.
Liaise with contractors and the property manager as required.

About You: We are seeking an experienced office administrator with a welcoming first impression to customers, visitors, and employees.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills. Experience managing phone systems, copiers, printers, and site access technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, the internet, and intranet systems (SAP knowledge desirable). Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and basic accounting knowledge to invoice and raise purchase orders. Knowledge of mailroom and courier services, including tracking procedures.
