Trades Helper - construction (Roofer's Helper)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Weekend, Day
Salary: $20.00 to $28.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Dental Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Type of Construction: Industrial, commercial and institutional, Residential
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Bobcats, Circular saws, Grinding machines, Air compressors, Nail guns, Torches
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Load, unload and transport construction materials, Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades, Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity
