Diesel Fitters HD Fitters Plant Mechanics Diesel Mechanic FIFO. Northern Heavy Diesel. Darwin NT. Mining: Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy). Full time. $60 – $70 per hour. Northern Heavy Diesel has multiple roles for Heavy Diesel Fitters with long-term work in the Northern Territory.

The role: You will be responsible for the servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of a large variety of earthmoving equipment and highway equipment. Role will require a mixture of field and workshop work out on customer sites, mainly in remote sites around the NT. For this role, we have FIFO and DIDO Field Service roles out of Darwin to the customer sites. We have work covering mine sites, quarries, civil projects, and cattle stations in which there is the ability for fitters to change up sites and types of work to always keep work different and challenging. All accommodation and food are paid while on site. Paid travel time and work vehicle provided. Variety of rosters on offer  2/1,1/1,2/2, 3/1, or reach out and let us know what suits you.

We have multiple mining roles to fill FIFO Darwin as well as remote cattle station work at DIDO Darwin or Katherine for fitters.

We also have a quarry rostered position to fill looking after mobile plants and mobile crushing equipment at DIDO of Darwin or Katherine for a fitter. What will the successful candidate have?.

Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification (essential). Auto-electrical experience (highly regarded). A/C ticket (highly regarded). Current unrestricted driver’s license. At least two years of relevant experience maintaining earthmoving equipment. Commitment to safety and compliance with all site requirements. Dedication to learning, high-quality work, and achieving goals. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work autonomously. Ability to work in a remote setting. Ability to work rosters (Roster is negotiable).

Northern Heavy Diesel will provide in return: very competitive rates and perks—around $60-$70 p/h. All travel paid—travel paid from Darwin or point of hire to all sites.
