Project Management (Construction). Full time. $150,000-$200,000. The Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic project manager (or senior project manager) to lead the delivery of a 260-apartment development project in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee all aspects of the project through construction and completion. A well-known mid-tier builder has been appointed, rounding out an A-grade stakeholder group. This group has a future pipeline, so the role will expand to early-stage planning, design, and pre-construction activities in due course.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee the construction of a 260-apartment project, ensuring timely and successful delivery within budget. Lead the project team, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans, ensuring milestones are met. Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with local councils, planning authorities, and community stakeholders. Identify and address project challenges, implementing solutions to keep the project on track. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, ensuring clear communication on project status and key deliverables. Manage the planning, design, and construction phases for future projects, coordinating with architects, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in project management, preferably in residential or mixed-use developments. Proven track record in delivering large-scale residential projects, from inception to completion, and must have experience on the client side. Strong understanding of planning, design, construction processes, and local building regulations. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Strong financial acumen, with experience managing project budgets, variations, progress claims, and so on. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
