Our client, a professional sports team located in Brisbane, is seeking an experienced and passionate PR/Media Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a media-savvy professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and understands the power of storytelling to engage fans, stakeholders, and the wider community. You will play a critical role in shaping the organisation’s reputation, ensuring their voice is strong, consistent, and impactful.

Here’s what you’ll be up to: Developing and implementing PR and media strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation. Managing relationships with media outlets, journalists, and stakeholders to ensure positive coverage. Acting as the primary point of contact for all media enquiries and press opportunities. Creating and managing press releases, media statements, and key communications. Overseeing social media and digital content strategies to drive fan engagement and align messaging across platforms. Managing crisis communications and ensuring the organisation’s public image is safeguarded. Coordinating media events, press conferences, and promotional campaigns. Monitoring media coverage and providing regular reporting on performance, insights, and opportunities.

What you need to bring: Proven experience in PR, media management, or communications, ideally within the sports, entertainment, or events industries. Strong media network with established relationships across traditional and digital platforms. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling stories. Experience managing crisis communications and mitigating reputational risks. High-level organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A creative and strategic mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes. Proficiency in social media platforms and digital media tools, with experience in content creation. A proactive and collaborative approach, with a passion for building strong relationships and engaging audiences.
