Start Date: mid-/late January 2025 (initial two-week induction at our Perth School). Are you a passionate and experienced leader in early childhood education? We’re excited to announce the opening of our brand-new, state-of-the-art early learning school in Fremantle, set to launch in February 2025. With one highly successful school already established in Perth since 2018, we’re now looking for a dynamic school director to lead our second location. As our new school director, you will lead and mentor a talented team of educators, ECTs, and faculty, fostering an environment of excellence in early childhood education.
About Us: At The Akidamy School of Early Learning, our boutique environment and strong community connections make us one of Perth's leading early childhood education establishments. We draw inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach and comply with the EYLF. We are also inspired by the RIE and Pikler principles, and our curriculum includes art, music, mindfulness, Italian language, and sign language. Our engaged occupational therapists and sign language teachers enhance the teaching at our school and improve child development outcomes. Our organisation culture drives how we operate as a team, which supports our curriculum and operations.
What We’re Looking For: A Diploma in Early Childhood and Care (or higher) with a commitment to further professional development. Substantial Experience as a Childcare Director or Educational Leader in an Early Learning School or the Head of Early Childhood in a Primary School. A proven track record of training and mentoring staff to achieve exceptional educational outcomes. Your success in the role will be based on the development and progression of our school faculty. Significant knowledge, application, and mentoring of educators in the various early childhood theorists, education best practices, EYLF, QIP, and NQS. Continual development and review of school policies and procedures, ensuring the Akidamy operates in full compliance under legislative and regulatory requirements. Together with our pedagogists, you will oversee innovative and engaging child-initiated curriculums and ensure evidence-based, high-impact teaching strategies are applied across the school. Competence in business management, including budgeting, HR, strategic planning, customer service, CCS, and professional development.
