Marshall Beattie Automation is the leading provider of commercial and industrial automation solutions throughout Western Australia, specialising in the design, installation, and servicing of automatic gates, automatic doors, roller shutters, and access control systems.

We are currently seeking a confident and self-motivated person to become part of our technician team based in Belmont, mainly servicing the Perth Metropolitan area.

Benefits: This is a full-time position, and we are offering long-term employment. Excellent rates and conditions (we will pay above industry award rates). Base hourly rate plus overtime, paid weekly. Company vehicles, mobile phones, and tablets were supplied once trained. Uniform shirts, hi-vis, and safety boots are supplied. On-the-job training and support are provided. Rostered days off. Work location will be determined based on the candidate's residence where possible, providing flexibility and convenience; however, location will extend to the full metro area and some regional areas. Key Responsibilities: Installation of automated gates, doors, bollards, barriers and access control systems. Attend to on-site callouts for breakdown repairs and scheduled repairs. Preventative maintenance and servicing of automation products. Diagnostic and fault finding of gate and door automation equipment. Complete written reports using the tablet on work carried out. Some paid overtime is expected, which may include weekends. After-hours/on-call technicians shared on a rostered cycle once trained.

Essential Criteria: Current WA C Class drivers’ license; manual vehicles. Knowledge of safe working practices and compliances. Able to comply with company and site inductions/checks (drug, alcohol, flu/covid vaccines). A national police clearance check and a white card will be required. Current WA Electrical Licence is highly desirable. Knowledge of current Australian electrical standards and codes. Only those living in Perth will be considered for the role, and you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to be considered.

Candidate Attributes: Have a positive attitude and good work ethic. Able to work efficiently and independently. Effective time management and organisational skills. Able to liaise with all levels of clients. Strong commitment to safety. Good welding and mechanical skills are highly desirable. Previous experience with automatic gates and doors is preferred. Knowledge of automation products and access systems is an advantage, but full and ongoing training is provided.
