Responsibilities: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems. Instruct apprentices. Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Supervise other workers. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size. Supervision. 3-4 people. Credentials. Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses. Plumber Red Seal Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
