Site Systems Administrator (OT Environment). Location: Pilbara, Western Australia, FIFO, 8:6. Type: 6-12 month contract. Are you a skilled sys admin with a passion for server storage and looking for a dynamic site-based role? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client's team as a Site Systems Administrator within their OT environment.
About the Role: You'll be the go-to expert in data Centre technologies, ensuring the OT environment runs smoothly and efficiently. This role is perfect for someone with a background in system administration who thrives in hands-on, site-based work.
Key Responsibilities: Data Centre Guru: Manage servers, storage, virtualisation, monitoring/alerting, and backup/recovery systems (Citrix, HyperV, VMware, Pure, NetApp). Operational Support: Keep mission-critical services up and running in large-scale mining/resource environments.
Automation Whiz: Use Powershell, Python, and other scripting tools to automate and streamline processes.
Network savvy: Apply your networking know-how to boost system performance.
Process Control Systems: Work with PCS to ensure everything is running like clockwork.
Safety First: Champion safety practices in everything you do, particularly in mining or resource settings.
What we’re looking for:
Time Management Pro: Juggle multiple tasks and priorities without breaking a sweat.
OT Environment Master: Keep hardware and server health in check for PCS, FMS, NPI, and our OT stack.
SCCM Skills: Help us implement SCCM into our ops environment.
Patching Know-How: Familiar with WSUS for patching, with a move to SCCM on the horizon.
VMware Expert: Help transition from Hyper V to VMware.
Citrix Knowledge: Configure client-facing services using Citrix.
Backup Experience: Use Commvault for backups.
Qualifications: Solid experience in server storage and site-based system administration. Background in the mining and resources industry is a big plus. Strong scripting and automation skills. Proven track record in large-scale operational support. Networking knowledge and PCS experience are highly desirable. Experience with RedHat and Linux is highly desirable.
