Amcal Pharmacy Belmont City is seeking a friendly, self-motivated, and organised pharmacy/dispensary assistant to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. We are a predominantly dispensary-based pharmacy, and our focus is always the provision of an exceptional patient experience.

This role will be to support the pharmacists in the dispensing of prescriptions as well as providing excellent customer service. It will also involve recommending over-the-counter medicines and looking after the day-to-day requirements of the pharmacy. We will provide the successful candidate with all the training required to successfully develop into the role.

Enrolment in an accredited training program will be essential to allow the candidate to achieve the required training to ensure our patients receive the best advice, care, and health solutions. The training program will also provide the applicant with industry-recognized certificates, enhancing their professional development. There will also be an opportunity to complete a traineeship in community pharmacy should the successful applicant meet the criteria required.

The position would be suited for someone who is wanting to start a career in pharmacy. Passionate about customer service. Punctual and professionally presented at all times. Efficient and dedicated. Able to work full time Monday to Friday—up to 38 hours per week. Willing to learn. A problem solver. Able to work as part of the team.

Working closely with the pharmacists, your duties will include greeting and engaging with patients. Actively assist the pharmacists in providing service and product information to patients. Assist in the preparation of dosage administration aids for nursing homes and community-based patients. Providing exceptional patient care and service. Maintain an optimal level of all dispensary and front-of-shop stock. Ensure all administration duties are performed, including organising and maintaining the cleanliness of the pharmacy.

Some previous pharmacy experience is essential for this position.
