About the role: An exciting opportunity has become available for a payroll officer to join a supportive and collaborative payroll team based in North Sydney. The company is conveniently located near public transport and offers the flexibility of working from home 1-2 days per week. This is a permanent role with a national market leader known for its exceptional workplace culture. The client is seeking either an experienced payroll officer or someone enthusiastic about payroll and eager to kickstart their career in this field. The responsibilities are: weekly payroll processing. Assistance with commission payments. Process superannuation, payroll tax, etc. Assist with payroll calculations and general duties such as maintaining employee databases, entering new hires, etc. Ensure all relevant awards are adhered to. Chase approvals from the manager when needed. Communicate effectively with all levels in the business, including store teams and senior management. Respond to all employee queries (face-to-face, telephone, email). Administer employee payroll and records, including engagement, deductions, superannuation allowances, reimbursements, leave, and other related matters.
