Dental Assistant, Bowes Dental Centre. Location 5 Bowes Street Parry Sound, ON. Salary 29.00 hourly / 40 hours per week. Full time. Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Morning. Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Experience 2 years to less than 3 years. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities: Prepare patients for dental examinations. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Train other dental laboratory assistants. Order dental and office supplies. Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory. Prepare dental instruments and filling materials. Maintain and order supplies. Perform reception and clerical duties. Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment

Educate patients concerning oral hygiene. Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Schedule and confirm appointments. Perform intra-oral duties. Take and develop X-rays. Record dental procedures performed on patients. Invoice patients for dental services. Polish and buff dentures. Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations.
