Senior Farm Hand, Whitegum Services. Ongerup, Albany & Great Southern WA. Farm Labour (Farming, Animals & Conservation). Full time. $38 – $40 per hour. The position is offered on a full-time basis & is available to start in January or February 2024.

About us: We are a family-operated broadacre farm located south of Ongerup, Western Australia. We crop approximately 4300HA of canola, wheat, barley & 500HA of pasture for sheep. We enjoy our work and are looking for an enthusiastic team member who is also passionate about farming.

Position Duties: This will primarily be a machinery operator position and will entail:

Operation and maintenance of large modern farming equipment to carry out all aspects of cropping operations & farm maintenance. Various other activities relating to the day to day running of the farm

About you: Previous broadacre farming experience (or a similar field with machinery). Competent mechanical knowledge - general troubleshooting and maintenance abilities. Positive attitude with a genuine passion for agriculture & learning. Strong work ethic & self motivated. A proactive approach to safety and risk management. A valid driver’s licence & access to own vehicle is essential.

What we offer: Negotiable hourly rate $38-40/hr  + superannuation. On-farm 3x1 house & unlimited internet. Work vehicle. Paid training opportunities (i.e. tickets, licences, agronomy days). This position is full time, available for permanent residents only (not suitable for working holiday or sponsorship)
