Senior Accountant - Accounting/Tax - Pathway to Commercial Finance Manager. Perigon Group Pty Limited. Parramatta & Western Suburbs, Sydney NSW. Financial Accounting & Reporting (Accounting). Full time. $120-130K plus super.

The company: Listed Western Sydney based business who are on an exciting growth path through organic growth and acquisitions. The management team has been instrumental in the stability and growth of the business. Western Sydney location, with 2 days WFH, and parking on site. This role presents a rare opportunity with a clear pathway to Commercial Finance Manager.

The role: Under the guidance and mentoring of an experienced, supportive Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the Financial and Tax Accounting and Analysis of a number of entities. You will also be involved in range of projects, and assist with analysis and budget preparation. Month-end journals as required and the review and analysis of monthly results.

End-of-month reporting including the development of reports on areas within the group. Management Reporting - Assist in preparation of tables and analysis of result. Continuous process improvements and projects related to business improvement. Assist with prepration of budget. Provide assistance to the Finance Manager in managing the day-to-day financial performance of the business. GST, FBT and Income Tax reporting and returns. General Ledger maintenance and reconciliation. Managing lodgment deadlines, and organising and maintaining records of tax payments. Balance Sheet Reconciliation preparation and follow up. Conduct detailed analysis of actuals against budgets and provide detailed commentary to key stakeholders.

To be considered for this role you will need: Strong communication skills. CA/CPA qualification or almost qualified. You may be a business advisory & tax first time mover from a big4/mid-tier firm OR you are an experienced Senior Accountant with a background in financial accounting + tax, interested in a career path to Commercial Finance.
