Company Overview: Social Pickleball Australia is dedicated to promoting and growing the sport of Pickleball. We offer a fun, social, and active environment for players of all ages and skill levels. Our services include custom corporate Pickleball event delivery to organisations, and school programs designed to introduce the sport to new communities and foster long-term participation. We aim to make Pickleball accessible and enjoyable for everyone, while helping to develop a vibrant, inclusive Pickleball community.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Pickleball Event Coordinator to join our team. This flexible role is ideal for someone passionate about creating outstanding event experiences and possesses a strong knowledge and skill set in Pickleball or other racquet sports. The successful candidate will be engaging, well-spoken, energetic and capable in facilitating and delivering high quality events and programs. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with diverse groups, ranging from beginners to seasoned players, as well as corporate teams and students.

Key Responsibilities: Facilitate Events and Programs: Coordinate and manage Pickleball events for corporate clients, including team-building events, social mixers, and friendly competitions. Deliver planned Pickleball programs for schools, introducing students to the sport and providing coaching and activities designed for younger audiences.

Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a fun, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere where players feel encouraged to develop their skills and enjoy the game.

Ensuring a Positive Participant Experience: Ensure smooth event execution, from start to finish, providing an excellent experience for all participants.

Qualifications and Skills:

Pickleball/Racquet Sport Coaching Experience: Previous coaching experience or certification is preferred in Pickleball or another racquet sport, but a general understanding and interest in Pickleball is essential.

Event Planning Experience: Experience in coordinating events is a plus, particularly in sports or corporate settings

Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse groups, including corporate clients and school groups.

Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure the effective execution of event and program planning.

Adaptability and Flexibility: Able to work comfortably in dynamic environments and adapt to the changing needs of participants.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pickleball Coaching: Accreditation with Pickleball Global Coaching or IPTPA

Background in Education: Experience working with young people in a coaching or educational setting is highly valued.

Requirements:

First Aid Certification: Current first aid certification

Working with Children’s Check

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications. Flexible working hours with opportunities to grow within the organisation.
