Are you an experienced ICT Technical Engineer with a strong background in Operations End User that manages and maintains Microsoft Server and Core Infrastructure platforms? We're looking for someone SOE Engineer to manage Microsoft servers with experience in Active Directory, Windows Server, System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM), and PowerShell.

Job Title: Senior Server SOE Engineer

Location: Canberra. Contract Duration: 12 months (extendable). Citizenship/ Security Clearance: Negative Vetting Level 1.

The Role: ICT Technical Engineering describes the function that manages and maintains Microsoft Server and Core Infrastructure platform, including all technical landscape design, installation, configuration, deployment, technical security and operation of ICT components and databases. Technical Engineering Experts use their in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Servers and Technologies to provide expert advice on the management and maintenance of this platform. They work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the provision of a robust infrastructure capability to the business and liaise with architecture and shared services areas to ensure the security of the day-to-day technical operations. Technical Engineering Experts exercise a considerable degree of independence, with decision-making substantially dependent on their high-level judgement and consideration of wider agency implications, with work being performed under the general guidance of senior staff. Primary Technologies. Active Directory, Windows Server, System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM), PowerShell.

Key Responsibilities: Role and Responsibilities Key duties may include, but are not limited to: Maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment-wide configurations, including user policies, device policies, security policies and automation scripts through enterprise-grade endpoint management platforms (MECM/SCCM). Facilitating large and enterprise-scale software deployments. Administration of Active Directory, Group Policy Management, RBAC, AppLocker, and Server imaging. Management of Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems environments. Knowledge of Remote Desktop Services Solutions. Schedule and perform regular maintenance and updating of supported products. Prepare a range of technical and corporate documentation.

Mandatory Criteria: Minimum three plus years' experience in Microsoft Windows Server management, projects and implementation, and related technologies in large complex organizations. Knowledge and a broad range of technical skills across various Microsoft products, both on premise and M365, including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Windows Server and SCCM. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. A high degree of organizational and time management skills, including demonstrated ability to meet priorities and work to tight deadlines.

Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including writing Standard Operating Procedures and user guides.
