About Alta-1 College QLD: Alta-1 College QLD is a multi-sited, independent Special Assistance School located in southeast -East Queensland. Presently, the College caters for approximately 80 young people aged 15–19 over two locations in Caboolture. The College is expanding. The College has an outstanding staff team of full- and part-time staff and is growing.

The Opportunity: Alta-1 College QLD is growing and as such, we are currently calling for well-qualified, experienced and passionate Christian education support people with a heart for educationally at-risk and vulnerable young people. Where appointed, applicants will work closely with staff teams at one of our secondary programs (middle and senior school programs) to provide transformational education for the relevant student cohort. Appointed applicants will be responsible for delivering a highly engaging learning program to students within an Alta-1 curriculum and pedagogical framework. The position will work in collaboration with additional education and student services staff to support learning, engagement and wellbeing. Positions will report directly to the Program leader(s).

Role and Responsibilities: Provide exceptional support to the Program leader(s). Work under the guidance and direction of the Program Leader. Work alongside at-risk young people, assisting them to reach agreed academic and socio-emotional goals. Build positive and respectful relationships with young people, families and staff. Model positive living and community engagement for the young people of the college. Effectively manage classroom administrative processes. About you: Essential requirements to be considered for the role. A practicing Christian who is committed to maintaining a lifestyle consistent with Christian Profession. Passionate about helping disadvantaged young people to improve their lives. Cert IV in Youth Work or in Chaplaincy & Pastoral Care or Education Support/Teacher Assistant qualification (or higher). Previous experience working with young people. Willingness to work in a collaborative team environment. The holder of a Blue Card (or have the ability to obtain one).
