Thomas Foods International Tamworth are looking for experienced. Electrical Engineering Technician to join our maintenance team.
These exciting roles and opportunity exist at Australia’s largest small stock processing plant located in Tamworth, Australia’s country music capital and the heart of New England. These roles would be a perfect fit for someone who has the ability to work as a team to ensure the continual operation and effectiveness of all plant and by attending to electrical engineering maintenance and completing scheduled maintenance of our plant and equipment.

Employee rewards and benefits. This position is responsible for providing high-level support and expertise in relation to our plant’s electrical installation and maintenance functions.
Main duties: Undertake electrical engineering maintenance, repairs and safety. Assemble, install, test, commission, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment and machinery using hand and power tools. Perform tests, find faults, reduce downtime by eliminating it with technical support and find faults of mechanical issues throughout the shift. Inspect electrical systems and components to detect hazards, defects, and necessary adjustments or repairs, ensuring adherence to safety codes. Implement, manage, and maintain PLC systems (basic programming where required) for associated equipment. Explain technical information and concepts to non-technical uses.
Key Competencies and Skills: Electrical technician/trade certificate (or proven skills in these areas); 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience strong understanding of key competencies in circuits, analog and digital electronics, electronic materials, controls and automation, power and machinery, and technical documentation. Basic PLC & VSD drive experience, Mex CMMS operations or similar. Route-cause investigation & practical problem-solving skills. Excellent computer literacy and IT skills.
